Taken January 12, 2006, these pictures are the result of record rain fall in Western Washington. This is after 24 days of straight rain, over 11 inches dumped on us, a log jam in Green River, as well as our governments decision to "keep the river at high volume" (something about having room past the dam this way). The neighbors crops. Here is the westpasture. Our arena almost underwater.
Another view of our arena. Water to the backyard. water over the roadway.
The river boat launch. It's one mile from the barn, and usually much farther from the road. The boat lauch again. This is a pull off on the side of the road. They've put large boulders up to keep cars out. The river is generally beyond the trees in the background.
Here is where we store the tractor and it's attachments. To give you an idea, the fence is almost burried. The "ditch" is usually a small run off donw the middle of this current water.
